Hudson Gym Personal Trainer
It’s funny where life leads you. I could of thought I would be here at Sculpt Fitness as a personal trainer. If you would have asked me, “Where do you see yourself in 5 year?” I would have initially said that I would have been a dancer in a small dance company touring, but what did I know back then? Nothing about life.
I started my college career as a Dance Major with one of the top schools in the nation, The University of Akron. Before long the dance world was consuming me, I had injuries weekly, and soon enough I was suffer from an eating disorder. I was 20 years old with bad hips, knees and my back was beginning in hurt daily. Then one day I went to the gym. I learned how to squat the right way, and you want to know what happened next? Nothing. I continued to dance but my hips and knees were better! I guess you could say I was hooked from that point on; I wanted to know what weighting training could do for me.
I became addicted to the iron game. I woke up from my denial and began a journey of recovery and what it is to be strong. I graduated with a Sport Studies Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning and a Minor in Dance. I gain my training experiences teaching group exercise classes through the U of A, YMCA and JCC. I trained with Zack Byler of BEST: Byler Elite Strength Training in Niles, OH. I then applied for an internship with Eric Cressey of CresseySportPerformance in Hudson, MA. I was an assistant coach at CSP fall of 2013. I learned from some of the best in the industry, including Eric Cressey, Tony Gentilcore, Greg Robins, Mike Reinold and Eric Schoenberg. My experience at CSP confirmed I made the right choice. I finally embrace the saying, “when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life.” I love coaching athletes, meatheads, moms, dads, kids, yogies, newbies, everyone! I can help you achieve your goals and go beyond them with some fun sprinkled in too!
Life is a journey. You may start somewhere and end up in a place you never planned but it is better than you could ever imagine. Training is a journey. You have to start somewhere but it will lead to a better place than you can imagine. Let me help you. Not only will we reach your goals together but we will have fun along the way!
