With all of the focus being geared towards workouts and fitness, I thought it would be worth taking a look at a different side of things that is not thought about often. It is about “Finding Your Purpose”.

With the days of the weeks and months going by so fast, it becomes easy for things to go by fast quickly without time to stop for a moment and realize what your purpose is. What do I mean by purpose? The purpose that drives you each and every day. The purpose that gives you encouragement, guidance and optimism. The purpose that causes you to sign up at the gym, to work with a trainer, or to begin eating healthy. What is it deep inside of you that drives you to make these changes in your life?

Life is such a short amount of time for all of us. A quote that comes to mind is from Paulo Coelho which states…”One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now.” This speaks to me deeply because for a large part of my life I took each day as it came to me, not consciously deciding what good things I wanted to accomplish for myself or for others. Life is meant to be great, filled with great moments, memories and experiences that grow you and affects others positively. When I consciously began focusing on the things I wanted in life and what I wanted my purpose to be, things began to fall into place for me.

This is a big reason why I decided to become a personal fitness trainer.Throughout various life experiences I have enjoyed helping others and sharing guidance with people based on things I have already gone though.  I enjoy helping others find their drive through physical fitness and exercise. There is a big correlation in exercise and in life. People tend to exercise in different intensities depending on their motivation, attitudes and their view on life. Some people workout because they love to workout, some people exercise for the numerous health benefits, others workout for the vanity of it, how it makes their body look. These are all great reasons to exercise and the benefits are numerous.

So how do you find your purpose, the thing or things that cause you to live life to the fullest? Don’t let life go by without taking a step back and looking from afar and questioning why you are doing or not doing the things that make you happy. Find what makes you happy, what allows you to make an impact on others, no matter how small or large that may be. For someone may be affected by what you say or do from afar. Strive to be your best day in and day out and allow others to be impacted by your purpose.
